Join us for Game Changers to learn about Anyday, a Brisbane based collective of restaurants founded by Ben Williamson, Tyron Simon, Bianca Marchi, and Frank Li. Don't miss this fascinating insight into creating cult status in hospitality. Meet two of the co-founders to learn how Brisbane’s most critically acclaimed establishments are building culture, taking out top honours, and making Brisbane a hot international desitination.
About the speakers
Tyron "Ty" Simon is one of the co-owners behind Anyday, a collection of critically acclaimed venues including Agnes, Biànca, hôntô, sAme sAme, Agnes Bakery and LOS Bar. With Ty's 15 years of experience working and owning various bars and restaurants across Australia, he and the Anyday team currently lead over 250 staff with a strong focus on keeping the company's core values of warmth, integrity and humility at the forefront of Anyday's future.
Ben Williamson is one of the founding directors and executive chef of Anyday, a collective of restaurants including Biànca, hôntô, sAme sAme and Agnes, winner of Gourmet Traveller's "Restaurant of the Year 2023". Ben's culinary journey spans Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Bahrain and is renowned for his innovation and use of different flavours and techniques. With six venues and counting, Ben and his Anyday co-founders are passionate about hospitality excellence and delivering world-class dining destinations for locals and visitors alike.
About the facilitator
Gary Mortimer is a Professor of Marketing and Consumer Behaviour at the QUT Business School. Prior to joining QUT, Professor Mortimer spent over 25 years working with some of Australia’s largest general merchandise and food retailers.
He is an active researcher in the areas of consumer behaviour and retailing. In 2020, he was appointed as the Chair of the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) and the Consumer Research Advisory Committee.
