Galveston Sand Crab Nighttime Beach 5K, 10K and Kid 1K

Run under the stars on Galveston's beautiful East Beach! This chip-timed event starts and finishes at Galveston’s R.A. Apffel East Beach Park. Finisher medals for all! Complimentary craft beer at the finish line courtesy of Galveston Island Brewing! This is an adventure run - it WILL be dark and headlamps are required for all distances! The course hugs the shoreline and runs west for either 1.55 miles for the 5k or 3.1 miles for the 10k, with LED lights and signage marking the course. The Kids Mile starts at 8PM and the 5k/10k starts at 8:30PM. This is a walker-friendly event, but the course as a 2-hour cutoff, so please pick your distance accordingly. 5k runners will have a waterstop at the half-way point and 10k runners will access 2 waterstops on the course.
