It’s been a spooky summer, it’s like we’re all being haunted by the ghost of fascism past, and we figured, what the heck, let’s start SummerWeen as early as mortally possible. We morn hot war summer’s passing, the beautiful sunsets and the vitamin D we are so lacking here in Maine. At Enlighten ME Comedy, Maine’s premier production for comedy shows made for women by women, we believe and produce quality shows that are always highlighting some of the best and freshest comedians who for the majority do not identify as white cis-hetero men. In part, because society holds us to higher standards. We value your time and are busy queen bees 🐝 👏 Dudes are welcome too, just know you shall be outnumbered! It can be intimidating! We get it!! And we always have a stellar lineup.. catch these acts while they’re still humble!

Our very special headliner this month is CRYSTAL BERNARD!!!
Maine comedy legend, icon and all around bada$$ Crystal Bernard makes her return! Crystal Bernard - A welder by day and comic by night, she is jacked and ready to attack your mind with laughs. Bernard performs throughout New England and has placed in the finals for just about every comedy competition she has ever entered. Crystal has that special type of sarcasm that not many people can pull off, that makes you laugh with her. You are going to laugh so hard, your jaw will hurt. That’s a promise!!

Margaret Dodge is a Maine native who recently moved to Los Angeles from Brooklyn, New York. She was a semifinalist in the Laughing Devil Comedy Festival and recently performed in the Laugh Riot Grrrl festival in LA.

Ashley Favreau has been described as deep, dark and disturbingly funny- Ashley’s sardonic voice & sense of humor is hued with notes of honesty and self-reflection that refracts back on society.
Jenn Rose, her subtle yet rancorous style is definitely for everyone but especially the person in your life who is most unhappy. You put her on a microphone in front of them and she is sure to make them bawl laughing. They occasionally will yell out, “That’s the funniest [expletive] I’ve heard all night!” Jenn’s motto is “My Truck Runneth Over”, she is a survivor and has found Jesus. She used to be a goddamn delight, now she is a God Blessed Delight after her baptism, recently. Catch her before she blows up because her stand up is set to be featured on Amazon Prime in a documentary!
Sawyer Pearson not much can be known, he’s mysterious, very funny, and a PAL!
Claire Muscat is a new comic but is not to be underestimated; her self-awareness of her own cynicism is only matched with her charming way of piecing together a puzzle of the mind much to the audience’s delight.
Joey Billias has been on the Biddeford scene a couple years and performs dedicatedly for Comedy Mills open mic every Wednesday at Mulligan’s and has hosted! He’s a hell of a dude, a PAL! He’s got an Edward Scissorhand-esque style that works well. Come see this young green comic spread his wings in the big bad city of Portland!
Brynn Dagenais is a young comic, freshly hatched even, right out of the coop of comedy for her second gig ! Fear not though because her material is *chefs kiss* 💋 She hails originally from Bar Harbor in Maine (also known as small Portland). A graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, she spends her time increasingly going to Thursday trivia and waiting patiently for the imminent demise and ultimate collapse of late stage capitalism.
Don’t miss CARI KENISTON. Starting comedy over a decade ago in the DC comedy circuit and Winning The Price is Right like all other great voices of the millennial generation - Cari, a Maine native who returned to the Maineland has been wowing, awing and cracking up audiences for as long as she can remember.
