An Epic of Kings presents a monumental illustrated copy of Iran’s national epic, the Shahnama. Learn how the medieval Mongol rulers used this manuscript to cement their place in Iran’s history, and encounter twenty-five folios alongside contemporaneous works from China to the Latin West.
