“You are a beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful musk ox.” -Leslie Knope, Parks & RecWhile the concept of Galentine’s Day may have been created by a fictional character on one of my favorite tv shows ever, the idea of a holiday to celebrate female friendships is magnificent! For I have learned, and have instilled in my daughters, that the women you surround yourself with, that support you, hold space, show up, guard your secrets, and love you unconditionally are probably the truest soul mates of your life.
In honor of those friendships, we will be dedicating our second Tuesday sound bath to Galentine’s Day and all the women we love! Rather than just one hour of sound, we will be extending the time to an hour and a half, 7-8:30. From 7-7:30 you and your gals will have the opportunity to shop in the boutique and enjoy some sweet treats, with the meditation and sound bath following from 7:30-8:30.
A sound bath is a meditative experience using the sound and vibration from instruments such as crystal bowls, metal Himalayan bowls, chimes, drums, gong and more. The resonance of these creates a powerful energetic environment that encourages the body and mind to calm, slow down, and relax.
All participants will need a yoga mat to lay on, as well as any creature comforts such as blankets, pillows, bolsters, warm socks, etc. Bodies at rest naturally cool.
Price will be on a sliding scale from $10-$25, via cash or Venmo on day of the event. Pay what you can afford. My goal is to make this as accessible as possible :)
Entrance will be through the main doors of Village Trends Boutique.
