These layers can trap us in rigidity, blocking new energies from flowing into our lives.
By embracing feminine energy through practices like somatic dance, we awaken a flirtatious, vibrant energy, allowing us to move through life with an open heart, ready to receive and create the life we truly desire. It’s about releasing the energy of craving or seeking love, and instead, stepping fully into the power of being love—giving ourselves the love we’ve always desired.

Ecstatic dance is a freeform movement meditation—a somatic, emotional, and energetic experience that invites you to:

Become a magnet for your deepest desires by embodying love
This journey isn’t about how you look—it’s about how you feel. No dance experience is needed. This is an exploration of your unique and authentic movement. Move with the waves of your inner ocean and allow your energy to flow freely.
We dance as we are—no substances, no words—only the language of our bodies. Fully present in the somatic experience, we leave behind phones, videos, and pictures. But after, when we’re feeling ourselves, we can take some fun photos (optional).
The Sound Journey
Mary Elise (M.e.) will guide you through an electrifying live DJ set featuring soulful world beats, sexy bass, energizing house, conscious lyrics, and classic hip hop throwbacks that make you want to whine your waist and shake your ass.
The mix is intentionally crafted with playful, sensual, and fun vibrations. The soundscape will take you on a wave-like journey: starting slow and meditative, building to an ecstatic peak, and cascading back into peaceful integration.

About Your Facilitator
Mary Elise has been offering ecstatic dance experiences in the Detroit area for over two years, after discovering the practice on the Big Island of Hawaii. Through her collective, Wake Your Waters, she curates intentional gatherings that activate and empower dancers. As DJ M.e., she specializes in soulful, electric sound journeys that are transformative and full of joy, play, and connection. Her favorite offering is creating women-only ecstatic dance spaces, where something truly magical happens when women come together in this way. Be ready to sweat, twerk and maybe even shed some healthy tears.
