Gaia Garden Party
About this Event
Help create the Ohio Feminist Art Museum's future at our Gaia Garden Party! This outdoor community gathering marks the beginning of the Gaia Garden... a new space for art, nature, reflection, and connection.
Meet labyrinth creator Psyche North Torok, bring one or more softball-sized rocks to help build a future community labyrinth installation, participate in a community blessing for the space, learn how to draw a labyrinth, paint your labyrinth rock, and join a guided visualization imagining what the garden could become in 1, 5, and 10 years. Guests will be invited to write or sketch their visions for inclusion in OFAM's Community Vision Jar, helping inspire the garden's future development.
Enjoy light snacks, refreshments, a fire pit, museum tours upon request, and community conversation in our outdoor space. A community drumming circle is also planned, pending confirmation. Everyone is welcome—bring a friend, a softball-sized rock, and your imagination :)
Around the Garden
Throughout the afternoon, guests are invited to simply enjoy the space. We'll have:
- Community gathering in the future Gaia Garden
- Rock painting station (available throughout the event)
- Labyrinth Artist meet-and-greet with Psyche North Torok
- Community visioning and manifestation session
- Guided labyrinth drawing activity
- Fire pit gathering
- Light snacks and refreshments
- Museum tours available upon request

Help Us Manifest a Community Labyrinth
We're asking every guest to bring one or more softball-sized rocks to donate. The more rocks, the better!
One of the first permanent features planned for the Gaia Garden is a walking labyrinth designed by Psyche North Torok.
A labyrinth is a single winding path used around the world for reflection, meditation, creativity, and mindful walking. Unlike a maze, there are no wrong turns—only one path inward and back out again.
While the labyrinth itself will be constructed after the event, this gathering is an opportunity for the community to help make it possible.
The completed labyrinth will measure more than 20 feet in diameter and require hundreds of stones. Every rock donated will become part of a permanent installation that visitors will enjoy for years to come.

Paint Your Rock
A rock painting station will be available throughout the afternoon with paint and brushes provided.
While most labyrinth stones will remain natural, participants are welcome to paint a rock to become part of the Gaia Garden or simply create a keepsake inspired by the day.
- Paint a symbol.
- Paint a flower or nature.
- Paint an affirmation.
- Paint your name or initials.
- Etc.
Meet the Labyrinth Artist
Spend time with Psyche North Torok, ask questions, and learn about labyrinths, their history, symbolism, and their role in cultures around the world.
Following the meet-and-greet, Psyche will:
- offer an optional blessing of the museum grounds and future Gaia Garden
- invite participants to share hopes and well wishes for the space
- teach a short hands-on labyrinth drawing exercise that anyone can learn
She believes labyrinths can offer meaning to people of every spiritual path—or none at all.
About the Artist
Psyche North Torok was raised in rural Northeast Ohio, where countless hours spent in woods and fields instilled in her a deep reverence for Nature. Psyche has been practicing Wicca since 1983; she is an initiated high priestess and leader within the Pagan community. Her love of labyrinths developed as an extension of her spiritual path, but she believes labyrinths can be meaningful to anyone of any path, or of none.
