Mariachi is a traditional Mexican folk music style that combines brass and string instruments to create a loud, festive sound with a distinctive singing style. It's a fundamental part of Mexican culture and is known for its versatility and range, playing a variety of songs including traditional Mexican folk songs, country tunes, polkas, and boleros. Mexican mariachi music is made to move you. It is direct, driving, and designed to instill emotion. Happy, sad, proud, angry, desolate, romance-stricken, and rebellious are some of the moods inspired by its extroverted singers, suave harmonies, and romping rhythms Professional, unique, & captivating, Gabriel Estrada is a Solo Mariachi Singer that has performed all over. Gabe's collection of songs include those of Pepe Aguilar, Vicente Fernandez, Antonio Aguilar, Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Javier Soliz and Jose Alfredo Jimenez, to name just a few of the great Mariachi Musicians of our time. He was selected as a finalist for the 11th Annual Ford Motor Company Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza Vocal Competition in San Antonio Texas where he received 1st place in the College/University level.
Gabe had the great honor and privilege to be the opening artist/performer for the Picnic Pops concert featuring Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan with the Grand Rapids Symphony. In November of 2017, Gabe was the Pre-show performer for Comedian George Lopez at Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan
