G4C Building Visit: Bradford Live
About this Event
Originally opened in 1930 as the third largest cinema in the country, Bradford Live has recently been transformed into a 3,800-capacity, state-of-the-art live entertainment venue, reopening after an extensive restoration programme. As it approaches its centenary, the venue continues to play a key role in Bradford’s cultural and architectural heritage.
This landmark project carefully balanced the preservation of the building’s historic character with the demands of modern performance, accessibility, and safety standards.
During the visit, attendees will gain valuable insight into:
- The challenges of restoring a historic building for contemporary use
- How the project team delivered the venue in time for Bradford’s UK City of Culture celebrations
- Key design, construction, and conservation considerations behind the transformation
This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the building up close while learning from the professionals involved in bringing this iconic venue back to life.
