The Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail is a paid summer job and professional development opportunity for outstanding young traditional musicians aged 16 to 25. Fèis Rois established its successful Ceilidh Trail programme in Ross-Shire in 2000. This project has since gone from strength to strength and now provides opportunities for young musicians from across Scotland to perform in locations across the country and further afield. Taking place in July and August, the Ceilidh Trail provides visitors to Scotland, and locals alike, with the opportunity to experience authentic traditional Scottish music in a wide range of settings.
The Fèis Phàislig Ceilidh Trail is an exciting opportunity for young and early-career musicians and singers to gain hands-on experience of life as a professional performer. Open to those passionate about traditional music, the project welcomes musicians who want to develop their skills – whether they aspire to a full-time career in music or hope to incorporate it into their future work and creative pursuits. Over the course of a two-week professional summer tour, they showcase their music in a variety of settings, from community venues to major festivals and ticketed events.
