Join us as we recreate the vibrant activist/ artivist period of the 1980s. Historical and socio-political storytelling of the area and sharing anecdotes and narratives from 1888 when Fordsburg was created as a suburb until the 1980s when artivists and community activists worked at creating a vibrant, equal, community with education at its centre. Come share and observe quality theatre, music, aerobics/ meditation, Indian dance, food, costume & artefacts, storytelling, narratives, zines, podcasts, videos, visual, installations with locals who share their family histories in an interactive and collaboratively dynamic atmosphere.
