Fuá da Tita is a Naarm (Melbourne) - based forró band channelling the vibrant pulse of Brazil’s northeast. With roots in xote, xaxado, baião and arrasta-pé, our music is rhythmic, joyful and deeply connected to tradition. Influenced by icons like Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Trio Nordestino, Os 3 do Nordeste… Fuá da Tita delivers high-energy sets that celebrate forró’s true essence: music made to dance.
Fuá da Tita contagious grooves and rich instrumental arrangements invite everyone - dancers or not - to move their bodies.
Whether it be at festivals or intimate venues, Fuá da Tita brings people together through rhythm, community and joy.
DJ Walla C will be spinning Forró and Brazilian beats after the band finish up.

Introduction to Forró Dance Class (1.5 hr dance class from 2:00pm)
Step into the culture, music, and dance of forró - Brazil’s fun and welcoming partner dance! This workshop is for people of all levels - including those who are trying forró for the first time.
You’ll learn the basic steps, rhythm, and connection that make forró fun and addictive! With its playful footwork, close embrace, and beautiful music, forró is as much about community and fun as it is about dancing.
What to bring:
- No partner or experience needed
- Comfortable shoes
- An open mind
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to dance simple forró steps and have more confidence to join the dance floor when the Fuá da Tita play their captivating live forró music.
