🌴 Join Us to Protect Kiama’s Iconic Cabbage Tree Palms! 🌱The Cabbage Tree Palm, or Dharawal, is an iconic part of Kiama’s landscape and history, valued by First Nations people for its versatile uses in food, building, and weaving. Though these majestic palms can live over 100 years, they’re struggling to regenerate along the NSW east coast.
Landcare Illawarra invites you to a community launch event on Thursday, 14 November, where we’ll discuss how local landowners can help us secure a future for this unique species.
