Named "The Garage," our future makerspace will be an inclusive area providing tools and space for all people, all ages, to create, investigate, and tinker in groups or on their own. In April, the Delavan Public Library received a $10,000 award from the American Library Association (ALA) and Public Library Association (PLA) via the Libraries Transforming Communities (LTC): Accessible Small and Rural Communities towards the new makerspace, which is part of the library's expansion project. As a grant requirement, the library will host community conversations along with this survey to learn what our users require to be successful in using this space. Please attend one or all sessions (Tuesday, June 23rd at 5:30pm or, Friday, July 10th at 1pm.)
Unable to attend? Please fill out our survey instead: https://forms.gle/GkmGyMLhiF5MHurS6
Snacks provided!
This space will include accessibility equipment especially for community members who are Deaf or have a disability. Included in the library's current build project, visit our blog for more details and images! https://www.delavanlibrary.org/site/groundbreaking/
