Join Galveston Bay Foundation's Future Leaders of Galveston Bay and Trees for Houston (TFH) RedBuds for a morning of hands-on restoration at the Gessner Center.
You'll meet fellow young professionals, plant native prairie species, and learn how restoring coastal prairie supports Galveston Bay.
As a Prairie Planter, you will:
- Use hand tools to plant native prairie species
- Learn proper planting techniques from GBF staff
- Work as a team and follow safe fieldwork practices
- Help move plants, tools, and materials as needed
- Have fun with like-minded people!
**No experience needed! The GBF and TFH team will be there to guide you. Lunch will be provided following the planting.
