🧬 Future Biotechnologists Summit 2026 🧬The Network of Young Biotechnologists of Bangladesh (NYBB), in collaboration with the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Dhaka, is pleased to announce the Future Biotechnologists Summit 2026, organized in celebration of DNA Day. The summit will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
This event will serve as a national platform for students, researchers, and early-career professionals to come together and share their work, ideas, innovation, and creativity in biotechnology. The summit aims to create a meaningful space for presenting achievements, exchanging knowledge, engaging in thoughtful discussions, and building academic and professional networks. By bringing together participants from different backgrounds, this event will encourage collaboration, learning, and active engagement within the biotechnology community of Bangladesh.

1️⃣ BioThesis – National Biotechnology Thesis Presentation Contest
📌 Eligibility: Master’s (thesis) students of 2025–2026 or currently enrolled in Biotechnology, Genetics, or related fields from any recognized university in Bangladesh.
📄 Submission: Submit a maximum 300-word structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) of original, unpublished research via the official form.
🎤 Presentation: Selected participants will present their work in a 6–8 minute oral presentation. Shortlisted candidates must attend the semifinal and final round in Dhaka (24–25 April 2026).
2️⃣ BioVenture – National Inter-University Biotechnology-Based Business Idea Competition
📌 Eligibility: Teams of 3 currently enrolled undergraduate or master’s students from Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, or related departments of any recognized university in Bangladesh.
📄 Submission: Each team must submit one original biotech-based business idea, including:
- A maximum 300-word abstract (core idea, scientific relevance, scope)
- A completed Business Model Canvas (template provided)
🎤 Presentation: Shortlisted teams will present their idea at the Summit on 25 April 2026 with a 6-minute pitch + 3–5 minute Q&A session before judges.
3️⃣ BioLens – National Biotechnology-Themed Photography Contest
📌 Eligibility: Currently enrolled undergraduate or master’s students from Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, or related departments of any recognized university in Bangladesh.
📸 Submission: Submit original photographs (JPEG/JPG/HEIC/PNG, max 50 MB) with raw file, device name, and capture date. Only minor edits (brightness/contrast) are allowed. AI-generated or heavily edited images are not permitted.
🎨 Themes:
🔬 Inside the Lab (microscopy, gel electrophoresis, microbial culture, lab work)
🌿 Outside the Lab (agricultural biotech, environmental applications, biotech in daily life, sustainability)
4️⃣ BioReels – National Biotechnology-Based Video & Digital Content Competition
📌 Eligibility: Currently enrolled undergraduate or master’s students from Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, or related departments of any recognized university in Bangladesh.
🎬 Submission: Submit one original video (MP4, minimum 720p, max 1 minute) in English or Bangla. Content must be scientifically accurate, valid, and non-plagiarized.
🎨Theme:
Biotechnology or Genetics-based content, including:
- Scientific awareness / educational videos
- Lab experiments
- Video abstracts of research
- Creative or humorous content (without disrespect)
5️⃣ BioStory – Translation of Research Articles into Bangla
📌 Eligibility: Open to undergraduate or master’s students from Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, or related disciplines. Participation can be individual or in teams of up to 2 members.
📖Submission:
Submit a 700–800 word Bengali translation/adaptation of a selected research article (from the provided list). The write-up must target a general audience and include:
- Importance of the research
- Main findings
- Relevance to Bangladesh/regional context
- Your own analysis/opinion
ℹ️ Use of AI tools is strictly prohibited.
🎤 Presentation: Top entries will be recognized and showcased at the summit.
6️⃣ BioPoster – National Biotechnology Poster Presentation Competition
📌 Eligibility: Open to individuals under 40 years of age who are graduates, professionals, or currently enrolled undergraduate/master’s students in Biotechnology, Genetics, or related fields from any recognized university in Bangladesh.
📄 Submission: Submit an original research abstract (150–200 words) following a structured format (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) via the official form.
🎤 Presentation: Selected participants will present their posters at the summit. Only the presenting author should submit the abstract and complete registration; one additional team member may attend upon acceptance on summit.

নেটওয়ার্ক অব ইয়াং বায়োটেকনোলজিস্টস অব বাংলাদেশ (এনওয়াইবিবি) এবং ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং অ্যান্ড বায়োটেকনোলজি বিভাগ যৌথভাবে ডিএনএ ডে উপলক্ষে আয়োজন করছে ফিউচার বায়োটেকনোলজিস্টস সামিট ২০২৬। আগামী শনিবার, ২৫ এপ্রিল ২০২৬, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, বাংলাদেশে এই সামিট অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
শিক্ষার্থী, গবেষক এবং আর্লি-ক্যারিয়ার প্রফেশনালদের জন্য এটি হবে একটি জাতীয় প্ল্যাটফর্ম, যেখানে তাঁরা বায়োটেকনোলজি-সম্পর্কিত গবেষণা, উদ্ভাবন, ধারণা এবং সৃজনশীলতা তুলে ধরতে পারবেন। এই সামিটের লক্ষ্য একটি অর্থবহ পরিসর তৈরি করা, যেখানে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা নিজেদের অর্জন উপস্থাপন করতে পারবেন, জ্ঞান বিনিময় করতে পারবেন, গঠনমূলক আলোচনায় অংশ নিতে পারবেন এবং একাডেমিক ও পেশাগত যোগাযোগের নতুন সুযোগ তৈরি করতে পারবেন। বিভিন্ন পটভূমির অংশগ্রহণকারীদের একত্র করার মাধ্যমে এই আয়োজন বাংলাদেশের বায়োটেকনোলজি অঙ্গনে সহযোগিতা, শেখা এবং সক্রিয় সম্পৃক্ততাকে আরও এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে।

📌 যোগ্যতা: বাংলাদেশের যেকোনো স্বীকৃত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বায়োটেকনোলজি, জেনেটিক্স বা সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগে ২০২৫–২০২৬ শিক্ষাবর্ষে অথবা বর্তমানে অধ্যয়নরত মাস্টার্স (থিসিস) শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশ নিতে পারবেন।
📄 সাবমিশন: অপ্রকাশিত মৌলিক গবেষণার উপর সর্বোচ্চ ৩০০ শব্দের কাঠামোগত সারসংক্ষেপ (পটভূমি, পদ্ধতি, ফলাফল, উপসংহার) অফিশিয়াল ফর্মের মাধ্যমে জমা দিতে হবে।
🎤 উপস্থাপনা: বাছাইকৃত অংশগ্রহণকারীরা ৬–৮ মিনিটের মৌখিক উপস্থাপনা দেবেন। সেমিফাইনাল ও ফাইনাল রাউন্ড ঢাকায় ২৪–২৫ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
2️⃣ বায়োভেঞ্চার – জাতীয় আন্তঃবিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বায়োটেকনোলজি-ভিত্তিক ব্যবসায়িক ধারণা প্রতিযোগিতা
📌 যোগ্যতা: বায়োটেকনোলজি, জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বা সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগে বর্তমানে অধ্যয়নরত স্নাতক বা মাস্টার্স পর্যায়ের ৩ সদস্যের দল।
📄 সাবমিশন: প্রতিটি দলকে একটি মৌলিক বায়োটেক-ভিত্তিক ব্যবসায়িক ধারণা জমা দিতে হবে, যার মধ্যে থাকবে-
- সর্বোচ্চ ৩০০ শব্দের সারসংক্ষেপ (মূল ধারণা, বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রাসঙ্গিকতা, পরিধি) এবং
- একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ Business Model Canvas (template provided).
🎤 উপস্থাপনা: বাছাইকৃত দলগুলো ২৫ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ তারিখে সামিটে ৬ মিনিটের পিচ এবং ৩–৫ মিনিটের প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্বে অংশ নেবে।
3️⃣ বায়োলেন্স – জাতীয় বায়োটেকনোলজি-থিমড ফটোগ্রাফি প্রতিযোগিতা
📌 যোগ্যতা: বাংলাদেশের যেকোনো স্বীকৃত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে বায়োটেকনোলজি, জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বা সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগে বর্তমানে অধ্যয়নরত স্নাতক বা মাস্টার্স শিক্ষার্থীরা।
📄 সাবমিশন: মূল ছবি (JPEG/JPG/HEIC/PNG, সর্বোচ্চ ৫০ MB) র ফাইলসহ, ডিভাইসের নাম ও ছবি তোলার তারিখ উল্লেখ করে জমা দিতে হবে। শুধুমাত্র সামান্য এডিট (উজ্জ্বলতা/কন্ট্রাস্ট) গ্রহণযোগ্য। AI-নির্মিত বা অতিরিক্ত এডিটেড ছবি গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।

4️⃣ বায়োরিলস – জাতীয় বায়োটেকনোলজি-ভিত্তিক ভিডিও ও ডিজিটাল কন্টেন্ট প্রতিযোগিতা
📌 যোগ্যতা: বায়োটেকনোলজি, জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বা সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগে বর্তমানে অধ্যয়নরত স্নাতক বা মাস্টার্স শিক্ষার্থীরা।
🎬 সাবমিশন: একটি মৌলিক ভিডিও (MP4, ন্যূনতম 720p, সর্বোচ্চ ১ মিনিট) বাংলা বা ইংরেজিতে জমা দিতে হবে। কন্টেন্ট বৈজ্ঞানিকভাবে সঠিক, তথ্যনির্ভর এবং প্লেজিয়ারিজম মুক্ত হতে হবে।
🎨 থিম: বায়োটেকনোলজি বা জেনেটিক্স-ভিত্তিক যেকোনো বিষয়, যেমন—

📌 যোগ্যতা: বায়োটেকনোলজি, জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বা সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগে অধ্যয়নরত স্নাতক বা মাস্টার্স শিক্ষার্থীরা। একক বা সর্বোচ্চ ২ সদস্যের দল হিসেবে অংশগ্রহণ করা যাবে।
📖 সাবমিশন: নির্ধারিত তালিকা থেকে একটি গবেষণা নিবন্ধের ৭০০–৮০০ শব্দের বাংলা অনুবাদ/রূপান্তর জমা দিতে হবে, যা সাধারণ পাঠকের জন্য উপযোগী হবে এবং নিম্নলিখিত বিষয়গুলো অন্তর্ভুক্ত করবে —
- গবেষণার গুরুত্ব,
- মূল ফলাফল,

📌 যোগ্যতা: বাংলাদেশের যেকোনো স্বীকৃত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে বায়োটেকনোলজি, জেনেটিক্স বা সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগে ৪০ বছরের নিচে বয়স্ক স্নাতক, পেশাদার বা বর্তমানে অধ্যয়নরত স্নাতক/মাস্টার্স শিক্ষার্থীরা।
📄 সাবমিশন: মৌলিক গবেষণার সারসংক্ষেপ (১৫০–২০০ শব্দে) একটি স্ট্রাকচার্ড ফরম্যাটে (পটভূমি, পদ্ধতি, ফলাফল, উপসংহার) অফিশিয়াল ফর্মের মাধ্যমে জমা দিতে হবে।
