Fused Glass Mushroom Windchime

Ever wish you could create your own cottage core style garden? Maybe you feel as though your garden, greenspace, or even your indoor plants (or window) need a bit more whimsy? This workshop will show you how to create your very own fused glass mushroom windchime. Using frit and provided glass you will be guided on how to cut glass circles and the techniques involved in slumping glass. You will also be instructed on the use of enamel and combining pieces of glass to create a final project.

You'll create one windchime made of fused glass in the shape of a mushroom. All tools, materials, and equipment will be supplied.

For safety reasons, long pants and closed toe shoes must be worn. Please be aware that grinders will be used in this class, making noise that some participants find uncomfortable. Limited noise protection will be available, and participants are encouraged to bring their own protection for maximum comfort.

After the workshop the glass will be kiln-fired and assembled. You will be able to pick up your finished artwork at the Canvas & Clay storefront.

Skill level: Intermediate, circle cutting is challenging and this workshop is a bit more involved than some others.

Ages: 10+
This is a family-friendly event. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
