In this class students will learn the basic technique of cutting glass, the various types of glass, and how to assemble that glass into a fused glass heart shaped bowl. The project will be an approximate 8“heart shaped bowl with a depth of approximately 1 ½”.
After the class, the projects will be taken to the instructor’s studio where they will be fired twice in the kiln. The 1st firing will melt the glass and the 2nd firing will mold the glass. The student’s bowls will be returned to the Guild in approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the class.
All materials are included in the tuition. This workshop is appropriate for students aged 10 and up.
