About this Event
Our exciting day course introduction to fused glass gives you the opportunity to create your own glass dishes, bowls, coasters, candle bridges, wall panels, plates or slumped vessels for your home! We will take you from being a complete novice, never having cut glass before to someone who cuts and combines glass confidently to make decorative items for your home by the end of the day.
The choice is yours as to what you make, and you will be allocated a maximum kiln shelf space in which to fit your creations before they are kiln-fired following the course and then slumped into your chosen moulds. When ready you can collect (or we will post them out to you if you prefer, Royal Mail recorded delivery for an additional fee of £15-20 including postage and packing).
The largest piece you make can be up to 30cm diameter (or square)which will also allow you some room alongside to make a couple of smaller pieces as well.
No previous experience needed, we will take you step by step through a wide variety of decorative techniques to employ in the fused glass you create.
The course is taught by Eleanor Watson (glass tutor) with over 10 years of teaching experience, who revels in helping students realise their own designs. It's a fun day, and many students come back to make more having caught the glass fusing bug!
All materials are included as well as plentiful tea, coffee and biscuits.
Please note this course takes place in a working glass studio so we will be standing at benches whilst cutting and preparing glass. There are stools for in-between times. We are sorry but we are unable to facilitate disabled access to the studio. We limit numbers to 6 people at a time for 1:1 attention.

Refunds and cancellation policy:
