Caring for antiques and fine furniture requires special attention to the finish. You'll learn about historical materials and techniques, and how to recreate traditional finishes using today's shellac, varnish, wax and natural pigments. New, safer finish removers make refinishing more enjoyable, but we'll also show you how to revive finishes without stripping.
Feel free to bring a small item to touch up, or a problem photo for class discussion. Practice materials will be provided.
Ten students maximum.
