Did you know that nearly 20,000 dogs served during World War II?
Join us for a fascinating lecture exploring the incredible role of war dogs in the fight for freedom.
During World War II, thousands of dogs served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, and Coast Guard as part of the “Dogs for Defense” program. These loyal and courageous animals were trained for sentry duty, scouting, message delivery, and more—saving countless lives on both the home front and in combat zones across Europe and the Pacific.
This presentation will dive into:
• The origins of the Dogs for Defense program
• The rigorous training these canines underwent
• Real stories of bravery and service in wartime
🐾 Discover the powerful bond between handler and dog—and the lasting legacy of these four-legged heroes.
Perfect for history lovers, dog lovers, and families
