Remember that feeling you had driving back from a family vacation at the beach? You’re in the car at the age of 6, the sun is flirting with being done for the day, and you’re exhausted but content while soul music on the radio. SPF 6 looks to capture the nostalgic feeling of reassurance and reminiscing.
Located in Tacoma , Washington, SPF 6 is a six person Funk, Pop, Soul band, providing a unique blend of funk, pop, soul, soft rock, jazz, r&b, and blues music. Bringing you music from artists such as Bruno Mars, Chaka Khan, Bobby Caldwell, The Doobie Brothers, Thee Sacred Souls, Sammy Rae and the Friends, Couch, Sade, and so much more.
Our members have performed at numerous venues across the Pacific, King, and Thurston counties across Washington state. Such venues as Jazzbones, Peaks and Pints, Tacoma Arts Live, Northend on Pearl, Airport Tavern, Tim’s Tavern, The Kracken, Mcmenamin’s Spanish Ballroom, Tacoma Dome, Slim’s Last Chance, Black and Tan Hall, Tim’s Tavern, Bennaroya Hall, Pantageous Theater, etc.
