This year they were nominated for the Best Band award from the Washington Blues Society, and Mark Hurwitz was nominated in the Best Piano, Best Performer, and Lifetime Achievement categories. They play jump blues, an upbeat style with elements of swing and jazz, as well as soul and old rock’n’roll, all delivered with a driving rhythm that always gets audiences up and dancing.
