What??? Another Jerry/Dead tribute band?!?!?!
ABSO-FUNK-ALUTELY!!!
Funk Jerry is a full-on DANCE PARTY!!! The band uses song vehicles from The Grateful Dead and other Jerry Garcia projects like Reconstruction, Legion of Mary, Merl Saunders, Hooteroll, and some of their own unique interpretations. The music is filled with deep grooves, melodic interplay, and wide-open jams.
This all-star lineup, featuring members of Pink Talking Fish, San Souci JGB Tribute & more, pulls from some of the Northeast’s top jam and funk acts, bringing fresh energy, improvisation, and serious pocket to a beloved catalog.
Sometimes there is this urge to say... FUNK JERRY!
