Benefit for Immigration Legal Services of Olympia (LISO) to provide free legal representation for Thurston County immigrants detained at the NW ICE Processing Center in Tacoma. https://www.lisowa.org/
This is an all ages fundraising dance called FUNK FOR FREEDOM: DANCE LIKE YOUR COUNTRY DEPENDS ON IT. We’re having two well-known dance bands, Func Pro Tunc, made up mostly of lawyers and legal workers who have been performing for social justice issues for over 3 decades, and Choro Tomorrow, a Brazilian Band from Olympia featuring a well know local immigration attorney, Lisa Seifert. There will be a raffle, food, short comments from many of our local dignitaries and sponsors, along with a family or two sharing their stories.
