*NOTE* This event is for Day 2 of the Fungi Festival, which is to take place at Lincoln Square Mall. Day 1 is on Saturday at Anita Purves Nature Center. Interested in Mycology? Come to the first Annual Central Illinois Fungi Festival!! The first day of the festival will take place on Saturday, October 11th from 12:30-6PM at the Anita Purves Nature Center in Urbana. There will be mushroom walks through Busey Woods, research talks, interactive demonstrations, hands-on learning stations, arts & crafts, a free to enter raffle, and more!!
The festivities will continue on Sunday, October 12th with our Photo & Kid's Art Contest that will be on display in the North Hallway of the Lincoln Square Mall from 1-4PM. All are welcome to submit photos and be entered to win a copy of Merlin Sheldrake's Entangled Life Illustrated Edition.
A cooking demonstration will also take place at Common Ground Food Coop on Sunday, but space is limited. Contact Common Ground for more info.
