About this Event

Ever wanted to learn more about the world of fungi?

Why not take an afternoon out to visit Woolley Firs for this unique opportunity to meet a brilliant mycologist for a walk and talk to unlock this magical world.

Last year we discovered 33 species and we will be building on from this in October 2026. Clifford will kindly produce a species list for us after the walk, which I will circulate to all attendees.

Clifford has 37 years experience as a mycologist and has led more than 195 public fungal forays and managed over 120 fungus identification courses. He has been mycological consultant to the Horniman Museum for 7 years and was made a fellow of the Linnean Society of London for his contribution in mycology.

Clifford has discovered several species of fungi new to the UK.

Please dress according to the weather including sturdy shoes.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

This course is for adults only.
