YOU ARE INVITED TO OUR FUNDRAISING AUCTION THE KINGS ARMS PUB - SUNDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER

Signed John Godber plays, antiques, wine/spirits, signed House of Commons Whiskey, and local produce will go under the hammer in our historic village pub on Sunday 14th September 2025.
Help us support Heath Common and save this landscape for future generations - all sale proceeds go to our fighting fund for planning and heritage experts to defend this historic landscape at the planning Public Inquiry in November 2025.
There will be art, gifts, experiences - something for all the family. Standout lots include signed items from playwright John Godber OBE, Hepworth prints, and prints donated by the estate of Hungarian born György Gordon who lived in Heath for many decades - even 'Heath Honey' from bees living in the village will go under the hammer. Other lots include a range of hampers, including produce from Blacker Hall Farm - and a range of fitness, wellness, and beauty vouchers - including a voucher for unique hypnotherapy.
Anyone who makes a purchase at the auction, or donates to our GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/7f0d599f) will have their name entered into a book that will be kept securely in the village for the future - meaning those who support the village in its hour of need will be remembered by the next generation.
Thousands of people across the district and beyond enjoy this very special place, the jewel in Wakefield’s crown, and we will ensure that their voices are heard at the Inquiry.
Any support you are able to offer to help us achieve this would be greatly appreciated - we are doing this for Wakefield’s next generation - they deserve to make the happy memories we have all made at Heath.
