On September 4th, our friend and lead pizza maker, Matty, had a severe seizure. It lasted about three minutes, and for a full minute he was unconscious and not breathing. Thankfully, two friends jumped in, gave him CPR, and kept him stable until the ambulance arrived seven minutes later.
At the hospital, Matty had two more seizures, and doctors found a small mass on his brain. He’s now on medication and will need plenty of rest and recovery time as he and his family figure out the next steps.
Matty is such an important part of our team — not just for the incredible pizzas he makes, but for the kindness and humor he brings to work. We want to support him the best we can, and we know many of you do, too.
We’re starting this fundraiser to help cover some of his medical expenses. Anything you can give will go straight to helping him through this tough time.
