We’ve been on quite a journey, and it feels like it hasn’t slowed down. With everything that’s been happening, Lisa was initially diagnosed with A.M.L. leukemia. After undergoing treatment, there was some improvement, but today the Dr came in to let us know that it’s not AML. They thought maybe ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) but just now he visited again after re-studying everything and looking at the bone marrow biopsy. He thinks the cancers may have combined into MLL or multiple lineage leukemia- today known as MPAL (mixed – phenotype acute leukemia). For now they have stopped her chemo and are waiting on final diagnostic testing since she is special and her cancer is too. The chemo she received did K*ll a bunch of leukemia cells, which makes this a big puzzle. We should know more in the next 24-48 hours as they set up a new plan. But for now the plan stays that she will be here till the end of the month in some kind of treatment.
