Kyle Lam Sound Healing is excited to return to South Florida for our two-day Fundamentals of Sound Healing: Level 1 Sound Healer Training, hosted at Tantra Studios in Miami!
Created for complete beginners, aspiring sound healers, and wellness practitioners looking to expand their skill set, this immersive weekend is dedicated to developing a strong technical and intuitive foundation with two of the most widely used instruments in sound healing: gongs and crystal singing bowls.
Over the course of two days, Kyle will personally guide you through the fundamentals of playing these instruments from both a musical and meditative perspective, helping you understand not only how to create sound, but how to intentionally work with tone, resonance, vibration, dynamics, and silence to create meaningful sound healing experiences.
No previous musical or sound healing experience is necessary. Our Level 1 curriculum is specifically designed to give beginners the hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and confidence needed to begin developing a practice of their own.
Day One: The Art of the Gong
Saturday | 12:00–5:00 PM
Our first day will be dedicated to exploring the depth, power, and versatility of the gong.
One of the unique aspects of this training is the opportunity to experience and practice on a diverse collection of professional gongs. Kyle will be bringing instruments from several different makers and styles, including Paiste Planetary Gongs, Grotto Sonora Gongs, Gongland Gongs, and Wind Gongs.
Rather than learning on only one type of gong, you’ll have the opportunity to hear and feel the differences between instruments while discovering how their individual tonal qualities, frequencies, textures, and dynamics can influence a sound journey.
Kyle will teach you foundational striking and activation techniques, mallet control, volume and dynamics, creating different tonal textures, building and releasing intensity, and how to approach the gong from both a musical and meditative perspective.
Most importantly, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to actually play. This is a hands-on training designed to help you become comfortable with the instruments through practice, experimentation, and personalized guidance.
Day Two: The Art of Crystal Singing Bowls
Sunday | 12:00–4:00 PM
On our second day, we’ll transition into the world of crystal singing bowls, working with a diverse collection of bowls so you can experience different sizes, tones, pitches, and combinations.
Kyle will guide you through the proper techniques for activating and playing crystal bowls, controlling volume and resonance, using full and partial rotations, working independently with both hands, transitioning between notes, and layering multiple bowls together.
We’ll also begin exploring the musical side of sound healing by understanding how different notes interact with one another and how intentional combinations can create greater harmony, movement, tension, and resolution throughout a sound journey.
Our goal is for you to leave the weekend understanding more than simply how to make a bowl sing. You’ll begin developing the technical confidence and musical awareness needed to create intentional sequences and eventually build sound journeys of your own.
Learn on the Instruments — Then Bring Your Own Bowls Home
One of the most exciting additions to our Miami training is the opportunity to purchase your own crystal singing bowl set and take it home immediately following the training.
Rather than completing the weekend and then having to figure out which instruments to purchase on your own, students will have the opportunity to choose between two different 7-bowl sets, depending on where they are in their practice and the level of instrument they would like to invest in.

These bowls are designed for students who want to invest in a higher caliber instrument from the beginning, particularly those who anticipate eventually facilitating professional sound baths, private sessions, wellness experiences, or incorporating sound healing into an existing practice.
The enhanced musical precision of the Premium Set also makes it ideal as students begin advancing beyond individual bowl techniques and start working more intentionally with harmonies, layering, sequencing, and multiple bowls simultaneously.
Both sets will be available to take home immediately following the training, allowing you to continue practicing while the techniques, sequences, and playing methods from the weekend are still fresh.
Purchasing a crystal bowl set is completely optional and is not required to participate in the training.

Just two weeks after our Miami training, Kyle Lam Sound Healing will be bringing our Level 2 Intermediate Sound Healer Training to Tampa on February 6th & 7th, 2027.
Students attending Miami Level 1 can add the Tampa Level 2 training for only $650 per person when bundled with their Level 1 registration.
Level 1 establishes your technical foundation. Level 2 takes that foundation further by exploring more intermediate approaches to instrumentation, integration, sequencing, transitions, and bringing multiple instruments together to create a more cohesive sound journey.
For students traveling to Florida specifically for training or those who want to accelerate their education, this creates an opportunity to complete both levels within a matter of weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any previous sound healing or musical experience?
Not at all. This training is specifically designed as a Level 1 program and is appropriate for complete beginners. You do not need to know how to read music, understand music theory, or have previous experience playing crystal bowls or gongs.
Kyle will guide you through the techniques step by step so you can develop your skills throughout the weekend.
Do I need to own or bring my own instruments?
No. All instruments used throughout the training will be provided.
You’ll have access to a variety of gongs and crystal singing bowls throughout the weekend, giving you the opportunity to experience different instruments before deciding what may be appropriate for your own practice.
Will I actually get to play the instruments?
Absolutely. This is a highly hands-on training.
While there will be educational and instructional portions throughout the weekend, a significant part of the experience is dedicated to actually playing, practicing, experimenting, and receiving personalized feedback from Kyle.
Is this training only for people who want to become professional sound healers?
No. Some students attend because they want to eventually facilitate sound baths professionally, while others simply want to incorporate sound into an existing yoga, meditation, Reiki, coaching, wellness, or mindfulness practice.
Others join because they are personally drawn to sound and want to develop a practice for their own self-care, meditation, and personal growth.
Will I receive a certification?
Students will have the option to receive a Certificate of Completion upon successfully completing the two-day Fundamentals of Sound Healing Level 1 Training.
Can I purchase instruments after learning how to play them?
Yes. In fact, we encourage students who are interested in purchasing instruments to experience them first.
During the weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to learn on a variety of instruments and better understand what you personally connect with before investing in a setup of your own.
For our Miami training specifically, both our Basic 7-Bowl Set for $299 and Premium 7-Bowl Set for $1,999 will be available for purchase and can be taken home immediately after the training.
What is the difference between the Basic and Premium Crystal Bowl Sets?
Both options include a complete set of seven crystal singing bowls, two sets of mallets, and three protective bases.
Our Basic Set is designed as an accessible starting point for students who want their own instruments for practicing and developing the foundational techniques learned during the training.
Our Premium Set is designed for those who want to make a long-term investment in professional-level instruments. The bowls offer a higher level of quality, durability, tonal consistency, and musical precision, making them particularly well suited for students who intend to eventually facilitate professional sound healing experiences.
Do I have to purchase a crystal bowl set?
No. Purchasing instruments is completely optional and is not required to participate in the training.
The bowl sets are simply being made available for students who want the convenience of leaving the weekend with their own instruments and immediately continuing their practice at home.
What happens if I have questions after the training?
You’ll have lifetime support from Kyle and the Kyle Lam Sound Healing team for questions related to your training and continued development.

What if I want to continue into Level 2?
Our Miami students have a unique opportunity to continue almost immediately.
Our Level 2 Intermediate Sound Healer Training will take place in Tampa on February 6th & 7th, 2027, and Miami Level 1 students can bundle the Tampa training for $650 per person.
If you already know you want to continue your education, this gives you the opportunity to move directly from establishing your foundational skills into learning how to integrate, layer, transition, and sequence your instruments at a more intermediate level.
