During our 6-part workshop make-n-take series participants will discover…
✓ fundamentals of clothing design, pattern making and construction through the use of instructional and hands-on methods.
✓ how to use color, cut and textile to fashion our bodies and craft with intention
✓ basic concepts behind wholistic dress, its benefits, and how to apply it in your personal life.
✓ how to become Earth Stewards and play an active part in saving our planet thru the education and application of the 3 R’s (recycle, repurpose, reuse).
From our ‘Energetic Power of Color’ and ‘Heart Based Biz Basics’ workshops, to our ‘Design Your Own Unique Tee-Bag’ and ‘Basic Fix-It Clinic Stitches ‘ make-n-takes, combining creativity with sustainability and self-sufficiency concepts offers an engaging way to cultivate a slow fashion mindset in a fast-fashion world.
Materials: Basic materials provided. Donated materials welcomed.

Duration: 6 sessions (Tues 4/22-Tue 5/27 @6pm)

Facilitator Bio: A global fashion designer, seamstress, and wholistic adornment coach, Netfah Amina~Afia holds a degree in Family & Consumer Science from Rowan University and her C.H.H.C certification from the International Board of African Thinkers, Traditional Priests, Healers and Religion Inc. A long-time advocate on behalf of the slow-fashion movement and a consummate student despite over 30 years in the fashion/textile industry, Netfah infuses traditional and new-age insights into her sought after experiential classes. Her series of adornment and FRCC workshops are designed to offer transformational tools and fundamental life skills that will equip individuals for a lifetime.
