Designed for both acrylic and oil painters, this comprehensive 6-week class provides the essential foundation every artist needs to confidently begin or strengthen their painting journey. Students will explore the core principles of painting including color mixing, value, composition, brush handling, layering techniques, edges, texture, and the effective use of light and shadow.
Through guided exercises and step-by-step projects, participants will learn how to develop strong paintings while gaining a deeper understanding of materials and techniques specific to both acrylic and oil mediums. Individual instruction will help each student progress at their own pace while building confidence and artistic vision.
This class is ideal for beginners as well as artists looking to refresh and solidify their painting skills. By the end of the course, students will have completed a finished paintings while developing a strong technical and creative foundation for future artistic growth.
