🔬 Fundamentals in Haematology Education Course 2026

Join us for an engaging in-person course at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, designed for nurses and allied health professionals who want to build or strengthen their knowledge of haematology.

This 4-day introductory programme provides a comprehensive foundation in both malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions, combining theory with practical clinical insight.



📚 What the course covers

Participants will gain an understanding of:

  • Haematopoiesis and core haematological processes
  • Haematological malignancies including leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
  • Pathophysiology, treatment approaches, and patient management
  • Nursing care and supportive interventions

Additional specialist topics include:

  • Stem cell transplantation
  • CAR-T cell therapy
  • Adolescents & Young Adults (AYA)
  • Clinical trials
  • Inherited bleeding disorders
  • MDT Support (Psychology, Physio, Ph*rm*cy, Clinical Nutrition)



🎯 Learning outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of haematopoiesis
  • Recognise and understand key haematological malignancies
