On Saturday, December 13th, from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo will host a Fundamental Kenjutsu and Battojutsu Workshop. The workshop will focus on core kenjutsu techniques (剣術; fighting with a drawn sword) and battojutsu methods (抜刀術; drawing the sword and immediately attacking or defending) as taught in the Bujinkan. The workshop is open to all ranks, and new students are encouraged to attend.
Attendees are encouraged to wear a full do-gi uniform and bring a notebook. While the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo will have training bokken available, we encourage participants to bring their own training weapons if possible. (No live blades or shinken permitted.)
The event is reserved for young adult and adult members of the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, past workshop participants, and approved guests. (If you haven't attended an event at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo before, please request attendance prior to registering to avoid any issues.) The cost is $40 per person.
