FUNCTIONAL BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENT

We invite you to join us for a phenomenal weekend of learning with Dr. Larry Bell and Dr. Mike Murray (murraybellseminars.com) for a 2-day hands-on seminar! The weekend is designed to instill confidence in assessing and treating elite athletes and complex patients, with an emphasis on performance therapy. Those in attendance can expect 2 days packed with clinical gems and an array of useful tools for their toughest patients on Monday morning! Due to the hands-on nature of the course, space is limited! The seminar has been designed to offer a wide variety of insight and clinical skills for immediate use, with an immense emphasis on improving hands-on abilities for all in attendance.

About the Presenters

Dr. Bell and Dr. Murray draw upon their extensive experience working as medical specialists at over 150 national and international sporting competitions including over 22 World Championships in various sports and 12 Olympic games combined. Both are active Fellows of the Chiropractic College of Sports Sciences (Canada), and act as senior instructors for the International Chiropractic Sports Federation. Considered Canada's foremost Sports Chiropractors, the two have decorated careers. Notable recognition includes the Centenary Award, presented to both doctors by the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences for the Advancement of the Chiropractic Profession, as well as an Honourary Fellowship in the International College of Chiropractors - an honour bestowed on less than 400 chiropractors worldwide. The FBA seminar has been taught globally for over 20 years, with continually evolving content to integrate the most up-to-date science.

​THE COURSE

Introduction to Kinetic Chain

The introduction reviews research and theories from various leaders in movement science and manual therapy, providing framework and context for the rest of the weekend. Participants will learn the theories behind integration of the upper and lower body, and how these concepts relate to human performance, with an added emphasis on foot function.

Functional Assessment & Treatment

We will take participants through functional assessment of the upper and lower extremity, with hands-on treatment and rehabilitation strategies for the practitioner to address biomechanical dysfunctions. This section emphasizes improving functional aspects of the kinetic chain through hands-on participation and demonstration. Participants are introduced to various soft tissue, mobilization, and manipulative strategies ideal for performance therapy settings, as well as rehabilitation strategies for long-term success of your complicated patients and athletes!

Integration & Performance

Participants will learn about myofascial chains and the importance of global assessment, allowing the practitioner to more effectively address performance and simplify treating patients with seemingly complex issues. This is a real benefit when treating elite athletes!
