Fun Time: Let’s Create A Mandala & Enjoy Time Together!
The Mandala, Sanskrit for sacred circle, is one of the most potent symbols of mankind. Its circular form and concentric or spiral structure reflect the shape of the universe. For thousands of years, it has been used in healing rituals, as a path to spiritual awareness, and now, thanks to Carl Jung, as a vehicle for personal expression. In this workshop, using simple materials, the participants will create several small mandalas. Meditation and music guide the creative process. No artistic experience or training is necessary for this experience.
**Please bring pickup snacks to share following the workshop.**
About Sue Johnson
Sue Johnson is a visual artist with an ArtsXchange studio in the St. Pete Warehouse Arts District. She works in acrylics, oil and wax medium. She paints both representational and abstract images. She has used art in many settings, as teacher, mother, hospice volunteer and professionally as an art therapist. Of her art she says, “I move in and out of relationship with images that intrigue me.
