FUN HOME AUDITIONS

Thank you for your interest in FUN HOME with Outskirts Theatre Co!
Fun Home is a moving and deeply human musical about memory, family, and the search for identity. As adult Alison Bechdel reflects on her childhood, she revisits key moments from her past in an attempt to better understand her relationship with her father, Bruce—a brilliant, charismatic, yet deeply troubled man living with secrets he could never fully reconcile. Through the perspectives of Alison as a child, a college student discovering her sexuality, and an adult looking back, the story explores love, loss, self-discovery, and the complexities of family. Blending humor, heart, and an acclaimed contemporary score, Fun Home is a powerful portrait of the ways we remember, the truths we uncover, and the connections that shape who we become.
