Fun Dog Show - Lumley Castle

Come along to our fun, charity dog show at the glorious Lumley Castle on Sat 29th of August, from 10am.
There will be a range of stalls, including a DJ, a bar, bbq, food stalls, ice cream van, crafts and more.
You are welcome to bring blankets and camping chairs - and spectator entry is free of charge.
Registration for those not booking online will open at 10am-10.50am, classes will start at 11am.
The winners of each class will be entered into the final “BEST IN SHOW” category which will take place at 3.45pm (this is not a bookable class and is free to all winners of previous rounds).
Classes are £3.50 per class per dog.
Dogs can enter multiple classes.
PARKING:
To help ease congestion around Lumley Castle, guests may wish to opt for public transport, or use the nearby public car parks, and enjoy the short 10 minute walk to the castle. As these are public car parks, please check signage for any applicable charges and parking conditions.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all animals, participants, volunteers, and visitors, all attendees are asked to follow the rules below in line with RSPCA guidance and welfare standards.
All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst attending the event.
Owners are responsible for their dog’s behaviour, welfare, and supervision throughout the event.
Any mess made by dogs must be cleaned up immediately by the owner.
Choke chains, prong collars, or any aversive training equipment must not be used at the event.
Unfortunately, dogs that have undergone cosmetic alterations, including cropped ears, docked tails (where not legally exempt), or other non-medical cosmetic procedures, are not permitted to enter dog show classes in line with RSPCA policy.
However, all dogs are welcome to attend the event socially and enjoy the activities provided.
Weather & Welfare
Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog remains comfortable and safe during the event, particularly in warm weather conditions. Please ensure dogs have access to fresh water, shade, rest breaks, and are not left in hot vehicles at any time. If your dog appears distressed, overheated, or uncomfortable, we ask that you prioritise their welfare and remove them from activities if necessary.
PLEASE NOTE - IF WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE SET TO REACH EXTREME TEMPERATURES, THE EVENT MAY BE CANCELLED ON WEFLARE GROUNDS. FOLLOW OUR FACEBOOK PAGE TO STAY UP TP DATE.

Event organisers reserve the right to ask any owner to leave the event if their dog is causing distress, poses a safety risk, or if event rules are not being followed.
