Get ready to add a splash of color to your day! Garden City Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Garden City Youth Athletic Association (GCYAA) presented by The Buccilli Group, is excited to bring you the Garden City Color Run! A Color Run is a fun, non-competitive event where participants are covered in bright, colorful powder at designated color stations along the course. Whether you walk, jog, run, or dance your way to the finish line, the goal is simple; have fun, get colorful, and make unforgettable memories with family and friends!
All ages register online at www.GardenCityMI.org/Parks/ColorRun
Participants will receive a pair of colorful sunglasses, a headband, and bracelets to wear during the event. Register by August 19, 2026, and you'll also receive an official event T-shirt to show off your colorful accomplishment.
The standard course is a 1-mile route winding around the ball fields at City Park. Looking for an extra challenge? You can add a second mile for just $5 during registration.
Check-in will take place at the New Concession Stand in City Park, located at 211 N. Log Cabin Road, Garden City, MI 48135. Check-in begins at 10:00 a.m., and the Color Run will begin at 11:00 a.m.
After crossing the finish line, keep the fun going! Stick around for music, enjoy a free ice cream treat, and cool off as the Garden City Fire Department brings a fire truck to help spray off all that colorful powder.
This is a fun run, not a race, so there will be no official timing. Everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace and simply enjoy the experience!
