As the November evening settles over Meadowbrook Nature Preserve, join Shirley Heinze Land Trust for a peaceful hike beneath the glow of an almost-full moon.
With the last light of day fading and the moon beginning to illuminate the landscape, we’ll wander the trails and experience Meadowbrook in its nighttime stillness. Along the way, we’ll pause to take in the sounds, shadows, and subtle movements of the nocturnal world, while learning about the moon’s phases and the ways plants and animals respond to the changing season.
This is an invitation to slow down, look up, and experience the familiar landscape in an entirely different way. Let the moonlight guide you, the quiet surround you, and the late-fall night remind you that there is always more happening in nature than we can see during the day.
