Come walk beneath the full moon with York Land Trust Executive Director Amelia Nadilo and Programs & Communications Manager Kara Siglin! It's a special evening with a full moon and early moonrise (4:40pm), so we plan to walk gently through Near Point Preserve towards a York River overlook and point out some ecology and astronomy along the way. Expect flat terrain and less than a mile of total movement, although it will be entirely in the dark.Please bring a headlamp or flashlight, ideally one with a red light setting. Wear warm layers and appropriate footwear for a trail through the forest! Open to all ages, although it is geared towards quiet contemplation. This program is weather-permitting; keep an eye out for cancellation in the case of severe or cloudy weather.
