About this Event
Metzli, the Moon, is a sacred and powerful feminine force which rules creation, destruction, and transformation, along with the subtle dreaming arts, hidden to the light of day. Cultivating relationship with her is essential for empowering our ability to heal and reorder our unconscious minds, allowing us to co-create the life we are dreaming into being. The Full Moon is the culmination of her potent cycle, a time both for release of what has been carried throughout the month, and a special opportunity to ask a favor from this celestial force, to manifest something to its fullness, in Tlacticpac, here and now on Earth. Our emphasis will be on personal flowering, cultivating beauty and empowerment in our lives, while sending blessing intentions to nourish the complex world around us.
This ceremony will honor the Full Moon through song, prayer, poetry, and sacred spiritual practice. Together we will remember ourselves, release what is too heavy to carry forward, vision into what is hidden, commune with this sacred feminine force, and ask her favor.
The ritual will include:
A strong, safe, and sacred container for participants
Practices from Curanderismo, and the Nahualismo tradition of Pre-Colonial Mexico
Dreaming herbs and flowers (please bring a cup for tea)
The use of Achinolli (charged waters)
Artful dream language planting for manifestation and protection, on the sacred vessel of our own bodies. Using spelled Jagua body art mixture (made from a fruit that has fallen naturally in the Amazon,) and engaging symbols from the Nahualismo tradition, we will honor the moon and the dreamer within us, with beauty and purpose.
8 participants maximum
Please arrive by 645 pm
We will go outdoors, so be sure to bring warm layers, and a shawl, blanket or reboso.
