The lunar cycle has long been known by the ancients to not only rule the tides and influence the female menstrual cycle, but also to create energies that enable us humans to move through cycles of our being and our evolution. The full moon is associated with:
- bringing issues from darkness to light
- the beginning of the period of releasing (energies, thought patterns, emotions, behaviours, beliefs)
- more extreme mood swings
At the beginning of spring, the stirrings beneath the Earth promise new growth and there may already be shoots and early flowers out reflecting a shift in the energies. This is traditionally a time associated with a spring clean of the home, ready for the busier and more productive times ahead. We can follow traditional practices and nature's nudge to refresh our mind, body and spirit energy to prepare for the longer days, ighter evenings and the higher energies that follow by engaging in some energy release practices.
This class therefore will have an air of creating space for a clear & positive mind, new growth, new ideas, setting intentions for the season ahead and really waking up to what we need to let go in order for these more motivational energies to alight.
During this class, we will begin by sharing in a vegan, gluten free ceremonial cacao drink made with oat milk (for those who wish to indulge), with or without the calming influence of reishi mushroom powder, to:
- bring warmth to the body
- engage in a mindful practice of drinking the cacao, engaging all the senses in the present moment
- open the heart energies to aid the process of release
- honour the full moon and invite its energies to support our inner work
- welcome the warmth of the energies of motivation and awakening to the season ahead.
We will then contemplate what is coming to light in our lives for release and share our thoughts about where we're currently at physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually (as much or as little as participants wish to share), journalling for those who would like to.
We will engage in a simple, embodied movement practice to begin & and really feel into the process of release. We may well use a breathing practice for release and the evening will finish with a guided full moon visualisation to bring further release if necessary, gentle, refreshing lunar healing and transformation.
Thick yoga mats, meditation cushions (or chairs) & blankets are available to borrow.
Oatmilk ceremonial cacao with or without reishi mushroom powder, is included in the ticket price.
