FULL CAVE + TECHNICAL CAVE DIVER COURSE
The Full Cave + Technical Cave Diver course combines two major milestones in your cave diving journey, allowing you to progress from exploring complex cave systems to planning and executing extended cave dives involving decompression.
### MASTER COMPLEX CAVE NAVIGATION
Think of cave diving as learning to drive. The Cavern course teaches you to drive in a parking lot, while Intro to Cave gets you onto the highway, following a straightforward route.
Full Cave is where you finally get to take the exits and explore the countryside!
You'll develop the skills to plan and execute more complex cave dives, including navigation through intersections, jumps, gaps, circuits and traverses, while maintaining a continuous guideline and proper gas management.
### VENTURE INTO DECOMPRESSION
As a Full Cave Diver, you may eventually explore cave systems in regions such as France or Florida, where your bottom time is often limited more by no-decompression limits than by your available gas supply.
The Technical Cave portion takes your training one step further, introducing planned decompression procedures using 100% oxygen.
You'll learn to extend your bottom time while developing the planning, gas management and decompression skills required for more demanding cave diving environments.
### CERTIFICATION LIMITS & PRIVILEGES
Upon successful completion of both courses, a Full Cave + Technical Cave Diver will be trained to plan and execute dives within the following limitations:
- **Gas Management:** Rule of Thirds with redundant gas supply
- **Maximum Depth:** Technical Cave – 30 m / 100 ft
- **Decompression:** Planned decompression using 100% oxygen
- **Restrictions:** Permitted without equipment removal
- **Complex Navigation:** Intersections (T), jumps and gaps
- **Advanced Navigation:** Complex circuits and traverses
- **Guideline:** Continuous guideline maintained throughout the dive
This combined training brings together the navigation freedom of Full Cave diving and the decompression capabilities of Technical Cave diving, preparing you to explore more demanding cave environments with the planning, discipline and skills they require.
