If you'd like to be notified if a seat become available, please join the wait list --> https://bit.ly/ink0924Popular OMAM instructor Pam Bleakney is back in the classroom with this brand-new, five-week pen and ink class series! Pam has worked in this medium for about 50 years and is thrilled to share her excitement of creating in black and white, starting with a crow quill pen. Students will use seven basic pen strokes, starting with value scales for each stroke, and learn 2-3 different strokes weekly. Prismacolor and watercolor pencils, watercolors, colored inks, will also be used to work on toned paper. Students will learn to adapt photographs as references for their art. Expectations are high, the material is extensive, demonstrations will be many, and loads of FUN is guaranteed. Each student will receive a supply kit with the cost of tuition, which will include a Bristol board sketchbook, textbook, pen selection, stencils, and a white matte board for displaying artwork.
Students are responsible for bringing the following supplies:
- sketch pad for drawing (9”x12” or smaller)
- #2 pencil
- kneaded eraser
The instructor will supply a kit with the following: hard cover 8”x8” book of Bristol Board, "Sketching Your Favorite Subjects in Pen & Ink” text book, 8”x10” white mat board, set of crow quill pens with various nibs, two black micron pens, two black Sharpies, and toned and black papers. Additionally, Prismacolor watercolor pencils, and colored inks will be available for use in class.
