About the project:
You will be guided to paint your version of Sunflowers and Starry Night to celebrate the birthday of post-impressionist Vincent van Gogh. During his lifetime the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh sold only one painting. By the end of the 20th century, however, his paintings regularly sold for millions of dollars. He is well known for his vivid and colorful self-portraits, paintings of flowers, and landscapes such as Starry Night. Van Gogh worked with great speed and passion, using coarse brushstrokes. He greatly influenced the style of art called expressionism, which shows the emotions that objects and events stir up in the artist.
About me:
My name is Maria Milazzo, I am an artist and a NJ-certified art teacher. Although I am an artist by trade, many times during the production of a painting, I have to work it out in my head and on canvas. There is not always a simple trick. I do not always have a quick answer. I love when others want to experience what I am passionate about. Remember this is just an artistic experience. I have been painting for many years and still run into snags. Just enjoy the experience, enter with a happy heart, and be ready to belt out some tunes, answer some trivia, share some photos on social media, make some friends, and enjoy your Friday night without any politics.
