Fulbright Global Day of Service: ATX Free Fridge Community Meal Prep
About this Event
Join us for the Fulbright Association's Global Day of Service!
In the spirit of Fulbright's commitment to mutual understanding, civic engagement, and service, the Austin Chapter is partnering with the ATX Free Fridge Project for a hands-on community meal prep benefiting neighbors facing food insecurity throughout Central Texas.
Together, we'll prepare and package nutritious meals that will be distributed through ATX Free Fridge's network of community refrigerators, where anyone can access free food with no barriers or eligibility requirements.
Whether you're a longtime Fulbrighter or joining us for the first time, we invite you to spend a meaningful morning giving back alongside fellow alumni, scholars, friends, and community members.
No cooking experience is necessary—we'll provide all ingredients, food containers, gloves, and supplies.
This event is part of the Fulbright Association's Global Day of Service, a worldwide initiative that brings Fulbright alumni, scholars, and friends together through meaningful acts of service in communities around the globe.
Optional Donation Drive: If you'd like to further support the ATX Free Fridge Project, we invite you to bring non-perishable pantry items (such as canned vegetables, rice, or pasta) or new, unopened toiletries. All donated items will be distributed through the ATX Free Fridge network to help meet ongoing community needs.
