Fujifilm Celebrates World Photography Day with a Colour Hunt

Sydneysiders are invited to borrow a camera, hit the CBD and hunt down Australia's most-photographed colours through complimentary guide.

To celebrate World Photography Day, the viral Colour Hunt trend is stepping off social media and onto the streets of Sydney, with Fujifilm House of Photography inviting Sydneysiders to experience the creative challenge for themselves through two complimentary guided photography walks.

Starting at the Fujifilm House of Photography, you'll get hands-on with Fujifilm cameras, learn how to capture vibrant colours with Henry C at the in-studio practice station.

Then head into the CBD to start the Colour Hunt, looking for one of Australia's defining colours of 2026 Forest Green, Cobalt Blue or Butter Yellow, with new research* revealing that Australians say the trending shades have appeared most often in their camera rolls this year.

Along the way you'll discover hidden details, unexpected perspectives and colourful moments you might otherwise walk straight past.

Return to the Fujifilm House of Photography to print your complimentary favourite image (6 x 4" print), browse the store and celebrate World Photography Day alongside fellow photographers and creators.

Inspired by your love for colour, join us as we explore the city through a new lens. Bring along your own Fujifilm camera or you can loan a camera on the day. If you need to loan a camera, please bring a valid ID and arrive 15 minutes ahead of your session. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, bring a water bottle, and ensure your phone is fully charged so you can get the most out of the workshop experience.
