We have all been there! We put our nutrition on the back burner due to being busy, being stressed, or just being in the midst of the craziness of life! When we don't fuel the body, we feel it! We are more tired, more lethargic, less motivated, and ultimately more stressed! The body and the brain need fueling to work at their optimal levels! Without fueling, our focus and function are impacted!
Our presenters for this lunch and learn are Amy Head, LCSW, and Susan Palace, Certified Health Coach! In this workshop, Amy and Susan will define and help us understand the power of the brain-gut connection and how this connection impacts our everyday performance! They will identify strategies we can use to help this connection serve us better in our energy, our motivation, and our stress management, including a practical list of nutrient dense food/drink options and simple mindset hacks to keep us well-fueled for peak performance throughout the day!
Amy Head is a licensed clinical social worker and owner of New Perspectives for Life, LLC where she works with children, teens, adults, couples and families and the business community through counseling, life coaching, hypnosis, corporate wellness and civil/domestic mediation. Amy has great success helping to empower and inspire people to discover their strength and achieve all they desire!

She is the author of “Go Bold! The Nail Polish Challenge ~ Blasting through your comfort zone” and co-author with her husband, Kevin Head, of “Insight Parenting – Empowering Parents from Within”. Amy earned her BA in Philosophy from Furman University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work.

Susan Palace is a certified health coach specializing in helping people reach their “happy weight” and enjoy a fulfilling relationship with food, their bodies and themselves. She encourages people to embrace their obstacles as the way to grow personally and professionally.

As a pioneer in mind/body wellness, she blends ancient wisdom with modern science to create simple practices and an uplifting approach to serve those who struggle with excess weight, low energy, and chronic stress.

Susan received her BBA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and worked in the healthcare field for 10 years before founding her business. She has almost 30 years of experience in mind/body health including nutrition, yoga, meditation, mindfulness and breathwork.
